Festive Red Berries
Normally I'd be able to name this plant but unfortunately my brain is spent today. Leave it in comments. txrad can't remember either.

A Man About Town
My God! I was allowed to leave the house today! I went to the credit union to deposit some checks, and then txrad wanted to stop at the nearby Central Market to pick up a bag of chicken-flavored vegetarian broth powder -- a whopping $1.73 purchase.
I knew from surveying the parking lot that Central Market was going to be crazy, so I remained in the car.
Then we stopped at the Hooch Emporium for some.... well, hooch! It was quite busy as well. I was honestly quite relieved to get home.

Travertine Medallion
This is the medallion we have selected to be incorporated into our flooring in the den most likely. I like that it is simple and rustic, not like some of the more formal ones.

Pizza Foundation
txrad spreads cornmeal on our pizza stone prior to the laying on of dough.
The sauteing toppings: veggie sausage, onions, jalapeño, garlic, a large portobello mushroom, and sometimes red bell pepper when we have it.

Soul Food Night
The cooktop and Scanpans get a serious workout during the preparation of macaroni & cheese, beans, and greens. "Hot Surface" is right. And I have trained txrad quite well (North Dakota native) to handle the soul food preparation while I do other important things.

Palladia
I love the promos for Palladia, the new MTV HD music channel. I can't help but imagine being mesmerized by those while smoking some pot, as if I had that luxury!

A Travertine Travesty
Oops. The contractor told me to be careful. This one was fragile. txrad accidentally stepped on it when I had a corner of it sitting on a carpet strip. Uneven surface... you know the drill.
So what's it gonna be? A $5 fine? A death sentence?

Salvia at Night
After a bit of rain a few days ago, the salvia has really been putting on a dazzling show.

Ragged Winged Butterfly & Bee
This butterfly was so intoxicated by the flowers it would not leave. I was able to get multiple photos. The monarchs, which will be featured here tomorrow, were flitting around a bit.

The Great Toads of Kona Ranch
One of them anyway. I just snapped this a few minutes ago. I was out on the patio and heard something behind me moving. Sweet Pea perked up and ran over to the path to check it out. I actually thought it might be an opossum since I saw a large one out there last night. Nope, just a noisy toad.

Homemade Burger Buns
Made by txrad. The height of them is not ideal, but hey, first try. And way cheaper than those bought in a store. And nothing tastes like fresh bread. Nothing.

Yeast Infatuation
We normally buy those 3 attached packets of yeast for our baking needs. They cost about $1.09 each for 3 packs. Each pack has 2 1/2 teaspoons of yeast.
txrad decided to buy a bulk container of yeast which filled up an entire quart jar. It was under $3.00 and should provide us with enough yeast for 64 pizzas. Prior to this we would spend over $23 on yeast for 64 pizzas. Something to think about.
I think the little granules are beautiful to behold.
Check back tomorrow morning to see something new txrad made using yeast.

Let's hope it's worth the wait. I can't handle another snoozer.
